I've visited both exhibits at Thomas Teich's gallery since it opened last year, each of which featured large-format, black & white, silver gelatin photographic prints from the Catskills, Adirondacks, and the Hudson River. The photographs themselves were spectacular, but even if you're not a fan of landscape photography, Tom's 1500-square-foot+ darkroom/studio and gallery are worth the visit in and of themselves. Tom gives free tours to all visitors and is extremely knowledgeable in explaining his process of developing these large-format prints. Everybody, from the layperson to the novice photographer to the expert, will have something to learn by visiting.
